Shawn and Blaine Stephenson specialize in cutlery products that feature high performance Nitro V stainless and carbon steel blades, to include pattern and canister Damascus, 52100 bearing steel and recycled farrier rasps. Our blades are individually heat treated in a kiln and quenched to exact specifications for maximum Rockwell hardness. Stainless and 52100 blades are the cryogenic treated in liquid nitrogen for 36 hours and then then tempered for several hours to produce a blade that is not brittle, has maximum edge retention, and easy to re-sharpen (if you ever have too) Richard "Dick" Stephenson, Shawn's dad and Blaine's grandfather hand-makes our leather sheaths.
This knife is designed for the bird hunter in mind. 3/32 inches thick 52100 bearing steel 4 inch blade with a full tang 4 3/8 inch handle. The professional guides and hunters who have this knife absolutely love it! It will make quick work of turkeys, pheasants, ducks, geese and other gamebirds. The handle can be customized with a picture of any of the birds listed.
We originally designed these knives as a fund raiser for Operation Outdoor Freedom however, they have been very popular and we are continuing to make them. They feature a 3/16 wide 52100 skinning blade with a combat service ribbon in a bone handle.
We will have a booth at the Avon Park Bluegrass and Blueberry Festival April 29, 2017 from 10am to 4pm. Donaldson Park www.avonparkrotaryblueberryfestival.com
Shawn has been amazing to work with. I came to him with some very specific specifications for a knife that I have been trying to have built for years. He jumped at the opportunity to take on this project, and he blew me away. It is hard to exceeded someone’s
expectations when they are extremely specific, but Shawn has done it with my knife. The workmanship is amazing, and the detail is exactly what I wanted! Shawn has made a customer for life out of me; this is my first Stephenson Knife and it is definitely not my last! Tyler Matthews
My early generation Stephenson knife seeing it's third season and I still haven't had to sharpen it! Shawn Smith
